What we are looking for
We like comedies that make us cry and dramas that make us laugh. We are looking for clever, happy, funny and entertaining fiction.
We are open to different genres and styles, but please no violence, horror, crime thrillers, or sword fighting orcs, they’re just not our thing.
Submissions are open to all and we encourage work from women and underrepresented writers.
We do not accept previously published work, including work that has been on your blog or social media.
We cannot accept any poetry or creative non-fiction at this time. Truffle Magazine is 100% short fiction.

Please include the word count, a brief bio written in the 3rd person and any social media links you want us to share. We want to promote you!

We encourage simultaneous submissions, just let us know asap if you’re accepted somewhere else.
One Submission
We cannot accept multiple submissions. Please wait until you’ve heard back from us before submitting again.
Submission Cost
Submissions are completely free. At this time we can not pay our contributors but hope to do so in the future.
What We Ask For
First publishing rights for 3 months, non-exclusive rights indefinitely. If your story is published somewhere else after, please credit Truffle Magazine as the first publisher.

Expedited Reading
We offer an expedited reading service for £5 to jump to the very top of our queue. You’ll receive an answer from us within 3 days on whether your submission was successful.
